Full BIO: George Goognin, Ph.D., is a Board Member and chief spokesman for Mile Unity Foundation, a public benefit international organization educating governments, enterprises, engineers, and media about how blockchain technologies can be used to provide equal access to cross-border transactions, trade, investments, and money remittance, and to strengthen international relations.

He's also a co-founder of Karma, a cross-border p2p loans ecosystem that raised 10M USD in 2017 through global crowdfunding. The platform is 100% legally compliant and working based on its own blockchain.

A native of Moscow, George is the Vice Chairman of the Blockchain Experts Chamber of the Russian Parliament. In addition, he is consulting South Korea, China, and other governments on blockchain technologies legislation.

In 2008 George launched his first countrywide online startup, dedicated to public transport routing. From 2008 to 2017 he worked in automation of large financial corporations and e-commerce companies.

George believes that human capital is the most important asset we have. He is supporting the UN Gross National Happiness initiative, aimed to make people’s happiness more important than GDP. George’s mission is to build a fair global human-oriented sustainable economy based on public good as a main KPI. He holds a Ph.D. in Math Modeling in Economics from Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
